![]() ![]() Respective guidelines will be provided for free as handouts or publications. This includes: memos as research tool for case summaries, definitions, using interpretations and theoretical ideas inductively or deductively developing category systems and assigning them to text passages conducting analysis processes comparing cases and groups filtering code relations searching data material and exporting citations and results to word and other programmes.įinally, we will show you, as an example, and depending on the composition of the group, how f4analyse can be used in various approaches of sequential analysis, grounded theory, metaphor analysis, content analysis or documentary method. Then, we will give an introduction into f4analyse. Moreover, the workshop will provide an exemplary insight in the actual realization of the particular processes of different methodological approaches when working with f4analyse.įirst, the workshop is about transcribing with f4transkript and relevant specifics such as scientific regulations, expectable errors, realistic time-management, timestamps, dealing with overlappings, synchronisation between various programmes, and voice recognition. The workshop aims at providing information on the transcription of interviews and the current situation of automatic voice recognition in general, and on the softwares f4transkript/f5transkript and f4analyse. ![]() Link to the demo version: /free-trial-version/į4transkript & f4analyse for transcribing and analysing qualitative interviews If you have not installed a license for the most recent version of Windows or Mac, please use the demo version (valid without time limit). Please note: We kindly ask you to bring your own laptop. As a Mac-user, you are also invited to participate, since most of the process steps are transferrable. Please note: The presentation in the workshop refers to ATLAS.ti 8 for Windows. Additional materials and links to free digital resources for further learning will be provided during the workshop. However, we cannot promise to teach you the complete operation of the software - including setting up a methodologically reasonable coding system – within three hours. During the workshop, you will gain some firsthand practical experience and get a feeling for how to work with ATLAS.ti. Of course the software also includes tools that are more targeted at the methods at the other end of the spectrum. This is possible by means of a citation level, an additional tool that softwares other than ATLAS.ti do not offer. ATLAS.ti supports a range of methodological approaches – from interpretative to hypothetical-deductive. This workshop will provide an overview of the various ways in which ATLAS.ti can be used in the analysis of qualitative data material. ![]()
